In 1989, the activity of the erstwhile Machine tools Division was further expanded to include marketing & installation of testing & other production equipment to the Technical Rubber Goods & Tyre Industry. In a very short time MTD acquired a name to become one of the leading suppliers to the Tyre & Rubber Industry with testing & production equipment sourced from some of the World Renown manufacturers.
Identifying the need to support all the equipment marketed by the group, strengthened the Technical Services group to provide the long felt installation & warranty support services for all the high technology products to the Rubber & Tyre Industry, which had hither too depended on the expertise from the overseas suppliers.
